

NightmareI scrambled across the floor, throwing myself into the door, frantically trying to find the handle. I glanced back to see the creature that was seeking to destroy me, perched on my bed wearing a malevolent grin. I found myself entranced in his eyes. I wanted so much just to get away, but his eyes froze me to the spot. Cold, steely, unfeeling, yet deep as the sea. I felt behind me for the handle, fumbling to open the door. I threw my weight into the unforgiving oak and stumbled down the hallway out of the room. I could see the light of day through a window at the end of the corridor.Nightmare
